Our Trusts

Orewa Rotary Trust

The Orewa Rotary Trust, established in the 1990s, supports community initiatives on the Hibiscus Coast by providing grants funded through the rental income of Rotary House in Silverdale. Currently, Rotary House is leased to North Boxing Academy, which uses the space to train boxers while promoting values like discipline and respect, making it a dual-purpose community hub and revenue source.

The Orewa Rotary Trust Grant aims to support community groups and charities located on the Hibiscus Coast. Each application is evaluated individually by the trustees. Grants are distributed twice annually, with application deadlines on April 1st and September 1st. Recent recipients include Youth in Transition and Harold’s Life Education Trust Rodney, each receiving $5,000 to further their impactful work. The trustees’ thorough evaluation process ensures that funds are allocated to deserving causes, strengthening the Hibiscus Coast community.

The April 2025 Grant is focused on Youth and related programs.

Laurie Parker Trust

The Laurie Parker Trust was formed in June 1986. It was originally created between Olive Margaret Parker, NZ Guardian Trust, and the Rotary Club of Orewa. A committee, elected by the club is to distribute funds annually to successful applicants from the Rodney area who support the social wellbeing, relief of suffering and public benefit of residents suffering from heart disease, stroke or similar suffering and disease.
